Autumn Boating Tips
With the end of summer, many boaters start getting their boats ready for the cold winter months. But with the beautiful weather we've had lately, there's still time to get out and enjoy the water a few more times. However, there's a few things you should keep in mind before heading out on the water in Autumn. Here's some good advice to ensure you have a safe and enjoyable time on the water this fall.
Fuel up. When summer ends, some fuel docks will close for the fall. Fill up ahead of time to avoid disappointment when you reach your destination.
Dress appropriately. Though autumn days may still be warm, the temperature can drop quickly as the sun sets. Dress in layers so you are prepared for all temperatures. Also pack rain gear in case of inclement weather.
